Colony Beach is a smaller beach less than five minutes away walking. Grab a lobster roll at Mabel’s and eat it on the jetty while watching the local fishermen at work. The Kennebunk Beaches are a short drive across the bridge. Gooch’s Beach is fabulous for walking and relaxing while Mother’s Beach is fun for kids with its small waves, lifeguard, and playground.

The Pineapple Ketch is a 2 hour sailing excursion leaving from The Nonantum Resort (about .25 miles away). Bring some snacks, a beverage, and prepare to relax.
Rugosa Lobster Tours is a 1.5 hour trip that is equal parts scenic and educational. The captains will pull lobster traps and give passengers the opportunity to hold the lobsters! This is a great activity for families of all ages.
If you are looking for a whale watch, First Chance is the place to go. It is located just next to the Clam Shack in the center of town and reservations can be made online. Whale watching tours are 4.5 hours.
The In-Town Trolley is our local hop-on/hop-off tour. It is very informative and stops at all the popular town attractions. Pick up the trolley 5 minutes up Ocean Ave at The Nonantum Resort or 2 minutes to The Colony Hotel.
Our guests can also use our complimentary kayaks for the day or beach cruisers to ride around Kennebunkport.
Dock Square is the heart of Kennebunkport with many shops, galleries, and restaurants! Dock Square is approximately one mile from the Mabel’s House via Ocean Avenue.
The First Families Museum is a volunteer-operated nod to some of the most important families here in Kennebunkport. A guide will narrate stories about sea captains and ship builders in addition to the Bush Family, whose residence can be seen just down the road.
Garden Street Bowl is a great option for rainy days or to get out of the sun. In addition to great bowling, they have an arcade, indoor corn hole, shuffleboard, a full bar, and a delicious restaurant! Garden Street Bowl is located in downtown Kennebunk and has ample parking.
